BoxLunch has stepped it up with BoxLunch Under the Big Top, a circus-inspired, intimate experience for fans at D23: The Ultimate Fan Event 2026. Formerly called D23 Expo, the event happens every two years and was held this year at the Anaheim Convention Center.

For BoxLunch Under the Big Top, small groups enter the booth that includes a fun mirror, photo booth, and a chance to purchase exclusive items. Each day represents a different theme with exclusive items for fans of Kingdom Hearts, Disney Princesses, and Cars. The exclusive items are decorated on the walls and hanging from the ceiling, adding to the aesthetic of the booth.

One of the key members is Jillian Wendt, BoxLunch’s Vice President of Marketing.

“I think that we wanted to do something experiential, something that let our community participate in something,” Wendt tells Nerd Reactor. “You know, Disney is the best at that, right? They’ve created this world where the queue is the experience, and we wanted to really honor that.

“And because we had different merchandise every day, we wanted to think about something where different stories could live in one world, and the big top is perfect for that. You have a lion tamer, a trapeze artist, a fortune teller, etc. But it makes sense because it’s under the big top. So it’s a way to let all these worlds live together and still make something fun and interactive.”

D23 took place from August 14 to 16 in Anaheim, CA, the home city of Disneyland.
