Well, wait no more.

During San Diego Comic-Con, Amazon announced the new season of Invincible will debut on Amazon Prime on November 3rd. Prime Video will release the series’ first eight episodes for eight weeks straight. Then it will take a midseason break before releasing the rest in 2024. With this announcement, Amazon released a new teaser trailer showcasing some new footage and the season’s voice cast. Returning for Season 2 is Steven Yeun, with Sandra Oh, Zazie Beetz, Grey DeLisle, Chris Diamantopoulos, Walton Goggins, Gillian Jacobs, Jason Mantzoukas, Ross Marquand, Khary Payton, Zachary Quinto, Andrew Rannells, Kevin Michael Richardson, Seth Rogen, and, of course, J.K. Simmons.

As shown above, director Steve Blank details why the game is set in between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi and why that was great for this game. “This is a moment where the civil war between the Empire and the Rebellion is at its height,” he says. “And this creates an environment across the galaxy where outlaws can thrive.”

“When you play Star Wars Outlaws, you get a chance to discover what the underworld is like and live through those experiences,” producer Carmen Askerneese said. They also delve into how the team draws from Westerns for the game’s tone and the various underworld experiences players will encounter. “We’ve only scratched the surface of what Star Wars Outlaws has to offer,” says Blank. “There is so much more that you will get to embody, and use, and play when you become Kay Vess.”

Executive producer Steve Levy spoke about the recasting process for the titular characters in light of Justin Roiland’s ousting. “[It’s] gonna be great. We are closing in on the end of our process of the recast,” he said. They aimed to find soundalikes of the characters instead of making them sound completely different, like they hilariously did with Solar Opposites.

Also, during the panel, Adult Swim gave fans a look at the opening credits for the incoming Rick & Morty anime spinoff. Partially based on the 2020 shorts, the 10-episode show comes from Studio Deen (The Seven Deadly Sins), Sola Digital Arts (Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim), and director Takashi Sano (Tower of God). While they didn’t provide a release date for the anime series, look for it to air on Adult Swim soon.

During the Mutant Mayhem panel at SDCC 2023, TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman announced that Paramount and Nickelodeon had acquired the rights to the beloved 1987 TMNT series. The studio now owns all 193 episodes of the original animated Fred Wolf series from 1987 to 1996.

The TMNT cartoon series will debut digitally later this month in the U.S., followed by Nickelodeon branded channels and digital platforms internationally.

In the series, Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo, along with their various allies, battle the Shredder, Krang, the Foot, and other villains and criminals in the streets of New York.

Also, during the panel, TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman said the look of Mutant Mayhem reminds him of the underground comics he and Peter Laird created. A visual style that director, Jeff Rowe, leaned heavily into the teenage aspect of the movie. Not only do actual teenagers voice the titular turtles’ roles, but they also make the animation style look like “teenagers drew them.”

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem hits theaters on August 2nd.

So in his collaboration with Hughes, Larnell Stoval (Titans) would have weekly meetings together. They would talk about all aspects of the action sequence, and Hughes would let Stoval work his magic. One of those sequences is a 10-minute action sequence where we see a man named Frankie (Winston’s brother) stealing something from Cormac (Mel Gibson). All of the brutal gunplay action we’re used to seeing in John Wick is on display in this action sequence. “The sequence shows everyone that [the flimmakers] got you. It sets the tone [for the series],” they said. “This is our level of violence, and this is who we are. We’re Wick, but we’re different.” And how much action are we getting? Well, the finale will feature a fifty-seven-minute nonstop action sequence. Not to mention, the final episode will have ten feature stunt sequences as well.

Regarding the storyline, Frankie and Winston worked for Cormac when they were younger, and the mysterious item that Frankie stole pissed off Cormac and the High Table. During the panel, we got to see two brand new assassins coming after Winston: Hansel and Gretel. Albert Hughes and Larnell Stoval promise that Hansel and Gretel will be fan favorites. To give you an idea of what to expect with Hansel and Gretel, a stunt guy plays Hansel, and Gretel is a contortionist. Do with that what you will. However, the assassin duo won’t be the only larger-than-life characters on the show. Hughes recognizes the significance of the types of characters in the John Wick world, and as he puts it, “I told [the actors] to just chew up the scenery. Just chew it up.” 

The first episode of The Continental: The World of John Wick will air on Peacock on September 22nd. The second episode will air on September 29th and the finale on October 6th.

Senior Art Director, Jacinda Chew, said, “The design was inspired by the in-game symbiote that’s taking over the console and controller, but you can still see some of the underlying red under the tendrils. This represents the various ways players will experience the symbiote takeover in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. It’s a constant push and pull for dominance whether it’s internal or external and the outcome is not certain.”

As you can see, the front cover features the symbiote tendrils creeping ever so close to the iconic Spider-Man logo. The backside features an all-black exterior with the white Spider-Man logo. According to Sony, the “symbiote has completely bonded to the back of the PS5 console with the iconic white Spider-Man icon from Insomniac’s Advanced Suit on display.”

Preorders for the PS5 console, covers, and DualSense controller begin next Friday.
