Marvel Cosmic Invasion features Marvel heroes as they try to save the world from an alien threat. Characters include Spider-Man, Storm, Wolverine, Phoenix, Captain America, Iron Man, She-Hulk, Black Panther, Rocket Raccoon, Nova, Beta Ray Bill, Venom, Cosmic Ghost Rider, Phyla-Vell, and Silver Surfer.

The game is developed by Tribute Games, which is known for fun gameplay and gaming nostalgia, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge and Scott Pilgrim EX.

Dotemu is the publisher, which also has a track record of games from classic franchises such as Streets of Rage 4, Ninja Gaiden Ragebound, Metal Slug Tactics, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge.

Players are able to do tag-team battles, allowing them to switch off characters to stay in the fight. Multiplayer includes 4-player local and online co-op.

Filming is currently in production for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and fans are speculating that the Inner Demons, a gang led by Mister Negative, will be in the movie based on the logo on this tank. This adds to more rumors about Mister Negative appearing in the upcoming film. However, Oyoung has something to say about the rumors of Mister Negative in the MCU.

“Every year we’ve talked, and the rumors have kind of increased this year,” Oyoung tells Nerd Reactor in an April interview. “It really felt like all of a sudden it was super serious. This rumor. And then, as far as the information that I know, from my professional sources, again, NDAs are all bound by everything. But yeah, I know some things. I can just say that. I’ll just tell the fans this, though, as far as Sony or Marvel approaching me, that hasn’t happened. And I would let you know if it did, or I would not let you know if it did.”

The actor doubles down on how the studios didn’t contact him.

“So all I can say is they haven’t approached me,” the actor said. “But what I can say is this, for the first time in my entire career, the amount of support from my side has reached critical mass. It has never been this large in my entire career. And I worked for like 18 years. For the first 10 to 12 years, nobody knew who I was. Then the game comes out, and now a few people know who I am. And now it’s what, six years on since the first game came out. Now it feels like every gamer knows who I am, which is amazing. So for the first time, I actually have some support in my end, which is coming from the gaming community.”

Spider-Man: Brand New Day sees the return of Tom Holland as Peter Parker, and a lot of footage and photos have been posted by fans and onlookers in Glasgow, Scotland, which doubles as New York City.

The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.

“When I initially booked it, I wasn’t aware,” Xiao tells Nerd Reactor. “I just knew she was this really powerful martial artist, but I had no idea that she was Iron Fist until I got the script. And then I was like, ‘Ah, my gosh. This is incredible!’ So yeah, I tend to play like powerful women in TV and film. And this seemed like a great fit. And I was just so grateful.”

Eyes of Wakanda is a miniseries containing four episodes. Each is a self-contained story in a different time period and a different geographic location.

“It allows the show to expand Wakanda across time and space,” Xiao explained. “And that’s something that you can’t do in a single film, for instance. So it’s these four powerful stories that all show the progression of Wakanda, how Wakanda came to be, its present-day form, and you actually get to see how legends are made across history and time.”

“Ironheart is such a great character in publishing,” said Coogler. “In 2016, Brian Michael Bendis created a character who would be a successor of sorts to the Iron Man legacy. In the comic book, Riri Williams and Tony Stark had a relationship—she was a student at MIT who came from an almost polar opposite background as Tony, but they came together in their passion to better society. Eventually, the character gets her own identity as Ironheart, and other writers like Eve Ewing picked up from there, taking Riri Williams to Chicago.”

“So this is the weird part of it,” Ashmore tells Nerd Reactor. “It’s like, if I was, I couldn’t say that I was, but I’m not. There’s been no contact. I’m not cast in it. I mean, I’ve been getting that since the last Deadpool movie. Everyone’s like, ‘Are you in it?’ And I’m like, ‘No.’ And they’re like, ‘Okay [winks].’ But no, no, I’m actually not. And again, I’m always open to coming back and playing that character. But yeah, so far, no, no contact.”

Yesterday, it was reported that Julia Garner will be portraying Shalla-Bal, a version of the Silver Surfer. Today, Marvel is hyping up fans once again by sharing an art of the Human Torch as he writes the number 4 in the sky. The text reads “Happy 4-4 Day!”

The official casting announcement on Valentine’s Day hinted that Marvel’s First Family could be in an alternate universe or from the past. With the art shared today, we see Human Torch flying over a futuristic-looking city. The signs seem to be pointing to The Fantastic Four movie being set in a different universe.

There’s a link in the caption, and if you were to click on it, it would lead to a 404 page, with a reference to Invisible Woman maybe hiding content from the page. If you look closely, there’s a QR code hidden on Herbie the Robot’s body. (Very clever!) The code leads to marvel.com/ff, which teases the Future Foundation and offers readers five free comic book issues.

The first issue of The Fantastic Four is the introduction of the family, which is fitting to reintroduce fans to the superhero team and prepare them for the upcoming film.

Issue #48 is the first appearance of the Silver Surfer and Galactus, with issues #49 and #50 continuing the story. This fits the reports of Julia Garner being cast as a version of Silver Surfer, and we hope to see Galactus in one form or another.

As for Fantastic Four: Life Story, it’s a retelling of the fabulous foursome’s origin story set during the Cold War and the Space Race and also features Galactus. (Seeing a trend here?)

Future Foundation

What about the Future Foundation on the landing page? It’s a superhero team created by Mr. Fantastic to bring a group of brilliant minds together to plan for a better future for mankind. They were involved in trying to save as many during the destruction of the Multiverse, and would later help re-create all the variant Earths that were ruined during Secret Wars.

The MCU is currently in the Multiverse Saga, and with Marvel teasing the Future Foundation, we may get a new superhero team.

About The Fantastic Four Movie

The Fantastic Four is being directed by Matt Shakman, who helmed WandaVision, from a screenplay by Eric Pearson (Thor: Ragnarok, Black Widow).
