Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant Starring Jake Gyllenhaal Gets a Trailer

Guy Ritchie is working on The Covenant, an upcoming action film starring Jake Gyllenhaal as a US Army Sergeant. MGM has released a new action-packed trailer for the film where the soldier must head back to dangerous territories to help bring an Afghan interpreter and his family to safety.

About The Covenant

Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant follows US Army Sergeant John Kinley (Jake Gyllenhaal) and Afghan interpreter Ahmed (Dar Salim). After an ambush, Ahmed goes to Herculean lengths to save Kinley’s life. When Kinley learns that Ahmed and his family were not given safe passage to America as promised, he must repay his debt by returning to the war zone to retrieve them before the Taliban hunts them down first.

The film is directed and co-written by Guy Ritchie and written by Ivan Atkinson & Marn Davies. It’s produced by Guy Ritchie, Ivan Atkinson, John Friedberg, and Josh Berger. Joining Jake Gyllenhaal are Antony Starr, Alexander Ludwig, Bobby Schofield, with Emily Beecham and Jonny Lee Miller.

The Covenant releases in theaters on April 21, 2023.
