Super Nintendo World is opening at Universal Studios Hollywood next month, and to get guests ready for the upcoming themed land, the park has released a video about the Power-Up Band, a wristband that will make the world around the guests more interactive. There are six available options to choose from including Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, Toad, and Princess Daisy.

Super Nintendo World opens on Friday, February 17, and on that day, guests will get to enhance their adventure with the Power-Up Band that syncs with the free downloadable app. The character bands you choose will correlate with which Team you’ll be a part of. Compete against other teams and collect the most digital coins throughout the day to reach the highest score. You can check the scoreboard by linking the Power-Up Band to the app or by visiting the Checkpoint Screens inside the land.

To collect digital coins and stamps, you’ll need to complete milestones within the land. Players will get keys from winning Key Challenges from Goomba Crazy Crank, Koopa Troopa POWer Punch, Piranha Plant Nap Mishap and Thwomp Panel Panic. If you have at least three keys, you’ll get to face Bowser Jr. in the final boss battle.

The Power-Up Band is also interactive with Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge. Just tap the band on the kart’s steering wheel in order to track digital coins collected along with checking the ranking against friends and family. Gamers will understand the ride’s replayability as they try to beat their best scores.

Guests will get to meet and greet Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach, but if they have the Power-Up Band, it may enhance their experience with the characters.

The Power-Up Band is available to purchase inside Super Nintendo World and on CityWalk starting on February 17.
