Evil Dead Rise Red Band Trailer Is Bloody and Groovy

Bruce Campbell has been a staple in the Evil Dead franchise as Ash Williams, and he’s excited about the upcoming Evil Dead Rise film. Although he revealed yesterday that he won’t be in front of the cameras, he does have his hands on the project as a producer. The actor teased the debut of the trailer, and today, Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema have released the red band version online. It has all the hallmarks of an Evil Dead film including blood, possessed beings, blood, creepy voices, and blood.

Evil Dead Rise is the fifth film in the franchise and follows Beth (Lily Sullivan), who visits her older sister Ellie (Alyssa Sutherland) and her three kids in Los Angeles. The Necronomicon is discovered inside Ellie’s apartment building, and it has unleashed evil that possesses the mother.

On the director’s chair is Lee Cronin, who also wrote the script. Campbell said that Cronin was handpicked by Sam Raimi, the creator and director of the Evil Dead films. His previous work includes the 2019 horror film The Hole in the Ground and the short, Ghost Train.
