Hogwarts Legacy Gets Gamescom Gameplay Trailer

Gamescom, the world’s largest gaming event, begins today, and there have been plenty of new gameplay trailers and announcements including Dead Island 2, Lies of P, New Tales from the Borderlands, and many more. Today, Warner Bros. Games has released a new gameplay trailer for Hogwarts Legacy, the highly anticipated open-world, action RPG set in the wizarding world of Harry Potter.

Hogwarts Legacy – Sebastian Sallow’s Dark Legacy Trailer

The new gameplay trailer features the darkness that the players will face including dangerous locations, evil foes, and magical creatures. The quest featured is an optional companion questline with Sebastian Sallow.

Hogwarts Legacy is being developed by Avalanche Software, known for its work in the Disney Infinity video game series.

The game will be available for pre-order on August 25 via the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Steam and Epic Games Store. The Nintendo Switch pre-order date will be announced at a later date. If you pre-order the game, you’ll get the exclusive Onyx Hippogriff Mount when completing the relevant quest.

Players will get to play earlier with the 72 hours Early Access starting on February 7, 2023, as well as the Dark Arts Pack. The Dark Arts Pack includes an exclusive wardrobe via the Dark Arts Cosmetic Set, a flying Thestral Mount players can ride, and access to the Dark Arts Battle Arena.

The Hogwarts Legacy Digital Deluxe Edition will be available for $79.99 (SRP) across all platforms and includes the Deluxe Edition content as well as the Dark Arts Garrison Hat and cross-gen digital upgrade for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles.

The Hogwarts Legacy Collector’s Edition will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC for $289.99 (SRP) and for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X for $299.99 (SRP) and includes the Deluxe Edition content, Dark Arts Garrison Hat, as well as a physical Life-Size Floating Ancient Magic Wand with Book Base, Steel Case, and in-game Kelpie Robe.
