In the last season of Cobra Kai, Terry Silver turned things around for the titular martial arts dojo. Now things have turned worse for Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence, and they’ll need help to have a fighting chance against the growing Cobra Kai. Today, Netflix has released the first-look photos for Cobra Kai Season 5 teasing the new recruits and old acquaintances.

Daniel LaRusso vs. Chozen

One of the exciting moments in season 4 was when Daniel gets help from Chozen. But it looks like there will still be some animosity between the two.

The showrunners are tapping more into Karate Kid III by bringing back Sean Kanan as Mike Barnes. He’ll definitely have a score to settle with Daniel LaRusso.

Kenny Is Focused

Dallas Dupree Young is back as Kenny, a young kid who gets picked on by Anthony LaRusso, played by Griffin Santopietro. Will Anthony learn the ways of Miyagi-Do Karate and will the two have a bigger clash in the fifth season? We’ll find out.

Johnny Lawrence and Robby Keene

Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) and Robby Keene (Tanner Buchanan) have had an estranged relationship, but it looks like the two will be having some father and son bonding time. Cobra Kai is known for throwing a wrench at things, so this special moment may or may not last long.

Robby and Miguel

Things aren’t over between Robby and Miguel (Xolo Maridueña), and it would seem that things are about to escalate. Luckily, a lifeguard is on duty in this scene to possibly separate the two.

Logline: Following the shocking results of the All Valley Tournament, Season 5 finds Terry Silver expanding the Cobra Kai empire and trying to make his “No Mercy” style of karate the only game in town. With Kreese behind bars and Johnny Lawrence setting karate aside to focus on repairing the damage he’s caused, Daniel LaRusso must call on an old friend for help.
