Evo 2022 has come and gone, and it was a weekend full of reveals in Las Vegas. Capcom has entered the tournament, and during the event, Kimberly and Juri were announced for Street Fighter 6, the upcoming fighting game that will feature fighting commentary and a new open-world third-person hub for players to train.

Juri is back, and her intro features her on a motorcycle, which is definitely inspired by the Kadeda bike scene in Akira. Her feet attack are still prominent, and she has ditched her eyepatch from Street Fighter V.

Juri first appeared in Super Street Fighter IV, and she loves seeing others suffer. She wanted revenge against M. Bison, but since his defeat in Street Fighter V, she’ll have to wait for the next best thing.

The sadistic fighter will have the return of her Fuhajin signature move where she lifts her legs high and stores Fuha stocks. Saihasho, Ankensatsu, and Go Ohsatsu are powerful moves with the stocks, but they can still be used without them. Juri players will recognize all of her Super Arts but with a Street Fighter 6 aesthetic.

A new challenger has entered, and Kimberly is trained in the arts of ninjutsu and is equipped with her spray cans and portable cassette player (she loves ’80s pop culture). Even though her origin is ordinary, she isn’t. She is a prodigy who graduated college early and has invited herself to become a student of Final Fight‘s Guy, a practitioner of Bushinryu Ninjutsu.

As a student of Bushinryu, she’ll have similar moves to Guy or Zeku like the Sprint dash move. She also has the Nue Twister where she grabs an airborne opponent and slams them down to the ground. Genius at Play will have her using her spray can as a Shuriken Bomb. The Hidden Variable move has Kimberly hiding inside a colorful smoke and then dishing up a surprise attack on her rival. Her Super Arts is a mix of quick ninja moves.

The trailer also features the new stage, Tian Hong Yuan, a lively nighttime, downtown area with people hanging out and playing musical instruments.

Street Fighter 6 will be launching in 2023.
