New Trigun Series Coming to Crunchyroll Next Year

Based on the manga, Trigun is a popular sci-fi series from the ’90s featuring Vash the Stampede, a goofy but skilled gunslinger. Fans were intrigued by the series with its mystery of why there’s a 60 billion double dollar bounty on a seemingly clumsy character. Decades later, fans will be getting a new series, Trigun Stampede. Today, Crunchyroll announced that it has acquired the rights to stream the Toho anime.

Trigun Stampede is being produced by animation studio Orange (Beastars), and it will be released in 2023. The new series will feature new staff and cast.

More information will be revealed at Anime Expo 2022 during the Crunchyroll panel on Saturday, July 2 at 8 p.m. PT at the JW Marriott Hotel. Author Yasuhiro Nightow will be on the stage to talk about the series and the production. He will be joined by Kouji Tajima (designer), Kiyotaka Waki (producer, Orange), Yoshihiro Watanabe (producer, Orange), and Katsuhiro Takei (producer, Toho).

Crunchyroll will be simulcasting the series from Japan, making it available to over 300 countries and territories worldwide.
