Ms. Marvel Shows Off Cosmic-like Powers in New Trailer

Disney+ has released the trailer and poster for Marvel Studios’ Ms. Marvel, and the show is giving off a fun and artistic vibe with the doodles popping up on the screen and The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” transitioning from its regular version to a more cinematic version. All the ingredients of Ms. Marvel are there including her fangirling over the Avengers, her Muslim background, her high school life turned upside down, and of course, teenage drama.

The one big thing that will catch many fans’ attention is her new powers. In the comics and Marvel’s Avengers game from Square Enix, Kamala Khan got her powers from the Terrigen Mist, giving her the ability to stretch and grow in size. The trailer reveals the hero having a different superpower and origin. Instead of having powers unleashed from within, she’ll get them from cosmic-like bracers along with having cosmic-like powers similar to Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel.

It should be interesting to see how her new powers and origin will shape up the rest of the series.

The new poster features Kamala Khan sitting on top of a street lamp post as she looks over Jersey City.
