Obi-Wan Kenobi is the highly anticipated Star Wars series starring Ewan McGregor as the titular character. Set after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, the exiled Jedi looks after a young Luke Skywalker on the planet Tatooine. Since the Empire is still out in full force, that means danger could be at every corner. Lucasfilm has dropped the Obi-Wan Kenobi teaser trailer, and it features plenty of familiar faces as well as iconic Star Wars music.

The Grand Inquisitor

The Grand Inquisitor was a threat in Star Wars Rebels, an animated series following a group of rebels. In the Obi-Wan Kenobi teaser trailer, Rupert Friend (Hitman: Agent 47) portrays the villain that was originally voiced by Jason Isaacs (The Harry Potter franchise). His facial structure is different since it is Rupert behind the makeup, but he has similar facial markings, bald head, and black uniform.

Obi-Wan on the Move

The Emperor executed Order 66, which branded all the Jedi as traitors and resulted in the majority of their demise. Only a few survived, and Obi-Wan Kenobi is one of them. In the teaser trailer, Kenobi is on the move and in hiding, but with the Empire and its Inquisitors out there, his job will be hard.

Duel of the Fates

The Star Wars prequels gave us two of the most iconic Star Wars music from composer John Williams: “Duel of the Fates” and “Battle of the Heroes.” Both themes are featured in the Obi-Wan Kenobi teaser trailer, and it’s fitting since both played important parts in the main character’s journey. For “Duel of the Fates,” Obi-Wan and Qui Gon Jinn battled Darth Mail in The Phantom Menace, and for “Battle of the Heroes,” Obi-Wan and Anakin Skywalker fought each other in Revenge of the Sith.

It’s been confirmed that Hayden Christensen will be back in Star Wars as Darth Vader. Will we see him in his full uniform? Will James Earl Jones be back as the voice of Darth Vader? We’ll find out soon enough.
