Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Pre-Super Bowl Spot Is Here

Knuckles (Idris Elba) and Sonic (Ben Schwartz) in Sonic The Hedgehog 2 from Paramount Pictures and Sega.

The live-action Sonic the Hedgehog film was a big success for Paramount Pictures and Sega, and it’s no surprise that both companies have decided to proceed with a sequel. Aptly titled Sonic the Hedgehog 2, new characters are joining the world of the blue hedgehog. Tails and Knuckles are zipping into the fray, with the latter being a formidable foe. Today, Paramount Pictures has dropped the pre-Super Bowl spot that features new footage as well as a reference to the NFL’s coin coss.

The spot features Knuckles, who looks like he’ll give Sonic a run for his gold rings. It also helps that the red echidna is voiced by Idris Elba.
