San Diego Comic-Con 2021 Special Edition had a very different vibe from the previous years, especially with little presence from the big video game and movie companies. People could actually walk the floor of the convention halls, and that’s good for consumers since they could actually visit booths and buy merchandise easily. (This could also be dangerous for your wallet.) This also meant that some panels will be one of the most popular ones available; for example, the Masquerade. This was an event featuring cosplayers showing off their outfits and performances with a half-time show. During the event’s opening, audiences were surprised to see the appearance of John Cena wearing his Peacemaker outfit for his new upcoming HBO Max series.

I was in attendance when it happened, and I was surprised since I didn’t expect Hall H excitement to happen to an event like the Masquerade. Near the beginning, the lights went out, and a man in a Peacemaker outfit popped up on the stage. He’s a big and muscular person, and since we’re at Comic-Con, I automatically thought it was Cena. As he lifted his helmet, he surprised the audience while showing some footage from the show. You can check out Cena’s journey to SDCC below.

The new trailer for Peacemaker was also released on December 3, 2021. Check it out below.

About Peacemaker

Peacemaker explores the continuing story of the character that John Cena reprises in the aftermath of executive producer James Gunn’s 2021 film The Suicide Squad – a compellingly vainglorious man who believes in peace at any cost, no matter how many people he has to kill to get it!

The series stars John Cena as Peacemaker, Danielle Brooks as Adebayo, Freddie Stroma as Vigilante, Jennifer Holland as Harcourt, Chukwudi Iwuji as Murn, Steve Agee as Economos and Robert Patrick as Auggie Smith.

Gunn wrote all eight episodes of Peacemaker and directed five, including the first. Gunn, Peter Safran and Matt Miller serve as executive producers on the series, with Cena as co-executive producer. Based on characters from DC, PEACEMAKER is produced by Gunn’s Troll Court Entertainment and The Safran Company in association with Warner Bros. Television.
