New York Game Awards’ NYVCC Recognized by Mayor’s Office

The 11th Annual New York Game Awards will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, which will be honoring the top video games of 2021. The event is run by New York Videogame Critics Circle, and it has recently been recognized by New York Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME) for its charitable contributions to its community.

“We appreciate the New York City Mayor’s Office’s recognition of our nonprofit collective’s work to give back to underserved communities,” said Harold Goldberg, executive director and founder, NYVGCC. “This past year, NYVGCC has been able to expand our efforts, from extending work with underserved and homeless students, to creating more paid internship opportunities for students interested in Games Journalism and the games industry, through the support of our partners, including the Mayor’s Office.”

Ticket sales made for the New York Game Awards will help with funding the 2022 programs. Donations can be made to help fund NYVGCC’s mentoring and scholarship programs. General Admission tickets cost $40 each, with Orchestra costing $75.
