The Witcher Season 2 Trailer, Jaskier Has Fun with New Poster

The Witcher is one of the most popular series on Netflix, and fans will be happy to know that Season 2 is coming out later this year. The series has been getting new posters and images as the new season draws nearer, and recently, the official trailer and a key art were released. Additionally, a new poster was shown on Halloween of the fan-favorite character, Jaskier, poking fun of the main leads: Geralt, Ciri and Yennefer.

The trailer premiered during the Witcher panel at the Lucca Comics & Games Convention in Italy. Showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich was a guest along with Joey Batey (Jaskier), Kim Bodnia (Vesemir), Production Designer Andrew Laws and Costume Designer Lucinda Wright.

Check out the official trailer below:

The key art features Geralt looking to the side, a sad-looking Yennefer, and Ciri ready for battle.

There’s something missing in the key art, and that is Jaskier, the bard whose main wish is for those to toss a coin to their Witcher. Joey Batey joined in on the fun and posed for shots for a new parody poster where he is Geralt, Ciri and Yennefer.

And in case you missed it, here are the character posters for Geralt, Yennefer and Ciri.

About The Witcher Season 2

Convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.

Netflix’s The Witcher is based on the books by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski. It has spawned the popular video game series by CD Projekt Red.

The Witcher Season 2 premieres on December 17, 2021.
