One Piece’s 1000th Episode Gets a Teaser and Release Date

One Piece is an anime series based on the manga of the same name by Eiichiro Oda, and it follows the adventures of young pirate Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat crew. It’s a long-running series that originally aired in 1999, and 22 years later, we’re still having new episodes. The upcoming One Piece episode is a special one since it’ll be the 1,000th episode. Fans can see it on November 20, 2021. To mark the occasion, a teaser has been released, which you can check out below.

The 1,000th episode of One Piece will be co-hosted by Toei Animation and Funimation via a global live stream fan celebration. Luffy and his crew will sail on the Thousand Sunny once again, and on November 20, 2021 at 3 p.m. PST, a virtual event hosted by YouTuber RogersBase, featuring free streaming episodes of 998 and 999, prize giveaways, fan videos, and more.

Fans who can’t get enough of One Piece will get to see the 2009 movie, One Piece Film: Strong World, on the big screen, marking the first theatrical showing in the U.S. It will be released on November 7 (English Dub) and November 9 (English Sub) in select theaters via Fathom Events.
