Amazon Releases Encounter Teaser, Sci-Fi Film Starring Riz Ahmed

Riz Ahmed has been rising as a talented actor in films like Sound of Metal and Nightcrawler, and superhero and sci-fi fans have seen him as Bodhi Rook in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Carlton Drake in Venom. He’s coming back to sci-fi with Encounter, an upcoming Amazon Studios film that will be released in theaters and on the Amazon Prime streaming service. A teaser trailer has been released today, which you can check out below.

About Encounter

A decorated Marine goes on a rescue mission to save his two young sons from a mysterious threat. As their journey takes them in increasingly dangerous directions, the boys will need to leave their childhoods behind.

The film is directed by Michael Pearce and written by Joe Barton and Pearce. It stars Riz Ahmed, Octavia Spencer, Rory Cochrane, Lucian-River Chauhan and Aditya Geddada.

The film is 108 minutes and is Rated R. Encounter will be released in theaters on December 3, 2021 and on Prime Video on December 10, 2021.
