Shang-Chi New Featurette Shows off More Fight Between Father and Son

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is the highly anticipated film from Marvel Studios, and it will be the first film under the studio to feature an Asian superhero as the lead. Today, a new featurette has been released showing off new footage including more epic fights between the titular character and his father, who’s played by legendary Hong Kong actor Tony Leung. The cast and director discuss what audiences can expect from the film. Additionally, a new poster has debuted and shows the cast and an epic showdown between Shang-Chi and Wenwu, aka the Mandarin.

Earlier this week, Marvel Studios released a new and short trailer for the film titled “Need,” with more action and Shang-Chi trying to escape his past.

Here’s the new poster below with the cast and Shang-Chi and Wenwu at the forefront. The Ten Rings are seen on Wenwu’s arms, and the recent trailers and videos have been doing their job of showing off what these powerful rings can do.

About Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Marvel Studios’ “Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings” stars Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, who must confront the past he thought he left behind when he is drawn into the web of the mysterious Ten Rings organization. The film also stars Tony Leung as Wenwu, Awkwafina as Shang-Chi’s friend Katy and Michelle Yeoh as Jiang Nan, as well as Fala Chen, Meng’er Zhang, Florian Munteanu and Ronny Chieng.

The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by David Callaham and Cretton. It’s produced by Kevin Feige and Jonathan Schwartz, with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso and Charles Newirth serving as executive producers.

Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings hits theaters on September 3, 2021.
