First Look at Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins Character Poster from Dragon76

Snake Eyes is one of the most popular characters in G.I. Joe, and he’ll be getting his own movie with Henry Golding playing as the titular character. Paramount Pictures has partnered up with New York-based, Japanese artist Dragon76, and we have the exclusive first look at the special limited edition character poster for Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins.

The poster will be debuting at ComplexLand tomorrow, taking place from June 16-18. ComplexLand 2.0 is a free immersive virtual experience with enhanced gameplay features, shops, exclusive drops, and daily giveaways.

Dragon76, who was born in Shiga and based in Yokohama, became a successful painter after studying oil painting at Osaka College of Art. His specialty is large-scale murals, live paintings, and graffiti art, and he fuses different styles from graffiti, manga and Ukiyo-e.

For the Snake Eyes poster, it captures the many characters including Henry Golding as Snake Eyes, Andrew Koji as Storm Shadow, Úrsula Corberó as The Baroness, Samara Weaving as Scarlett, Haruka Abe as Akiko, Tahehiro Hira as Kenta, Iko Uwais as Hard Master, and Peter Mensah as Blind Master.

Synopsis – Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins stars Henry Golding as Snake Eyes, a tenacious loner who is welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan called the Arashikage after saving the life of their heir apparent. Upon arrival in Japan, the Arashikage teach Snake Eyes the ways of the ninja warrior while also providing something he’s been longing for: a home. But, when secrets from his past are revealed, Snake Eyes’ honor and allegiance will be tested – even if that means losing the trust of those closest to him.

Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins is directed by Robert Schwentke. Based on the G.I. Joe characters from comic book writer Larry Hama, the film is written by Evan Spiliotopoulos, Joe Shrapnel, and Anna Waterhouse. It hits theaters on July 23, 2021.
