The Witcher Fan Experience coming to Los Angeles, plus season 2 confirmed

Netflix is going big with its upcoming release of The Witcher, the live-action series based on the popular fantasy book series which spawned the highly acclaimed CD Projekt Red video game series. To get fans even more excited, Netflix is hosting The Witcher Fan Experience in Los Angeles on December 3rd at The Egyptian Theatre Hollywood. In addition, showrunner Lauren S Hissrich has announced that the series has been renewed for a second season.

The Continent is headed to Los Angeles for one night only, and guests attending will embark on an immersive experience with the chance to watch the show before it premieres on Netflix. The Witcher Fan Experience Description: Attendees will trace the steps of Geralt of Rivia, Princess Ciri, and Yennefer of Vengerberg as they explore the Continent – a land where magic, wars, and chaos govern and where the lines between good and evil are blurred. Enter through the castle gates and find yourself at Aretuza to see if you have the power of a mage, continue on your journey to the Tower Chamber of Cintra Castle, or perhaps find yourself lost in a dark forest – monsters lurking at every turn.

Once you’ve explored your way through the world of the characters, enjoy the marketplace where you can test your strength with the Trial of the Grasses, take part in trivia and cosplay contests, and be delighted by songs from the town bard.

Netflix is also encouraging cosplayers to show up, and they’ll be rewarded with swag. So dress up as a human, elf, witcher, monster or sorceress from The Witcher.

The Witcher has yet to premiere on Netflix, but the streaming service is already confident in the project. Showrunner Hissrich has announced on Twitter that the series has been renewed for a second season. She added a photo of Geralt’s two swords, one for dealing with humans, and the other for slaying monsters.

The Witcher Synopsis: Based on the best-selling fantasy series of books, The Witcher is an epic tale of fate and family. Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.
