Sonic is making headlines again with the new trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog film. Fans were excited to see the filmmakers apply the criticism they received to make the blue hedgehog look more like his original source. In other Sonic news, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 is now available for the Nintendo Switch. The game features your favorite Mario and Sonic characters competing in a number of Olympic games with current-generation graphics as well as 8-bit and 16-bit graphics.

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020¬†features a story mode where Mario and Sonic are trapped in a Tokyo ’64 video game console, thanks to Bowser and Dr. Eggman’s plan. Inside the game world, the heroes have been transformed into 8-bit and 16-bit versions of themselves. Bowser and Dr. Eggman are also trapped, and to pass the time, the four have decided to compete in the games. Now it’s up to Luigi, Tails, and the gang to bring Mario and Sonic back.

The game has a large roster of characters and different Olympic games featured in current-gen and retro graphics. You can play as the following characters: Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Bowser, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Dr. Eggman, Wario, Waluigi, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Bowser Jr., Shadow, Silver, Metal Sonic, Blaze, and Vector.

You can play by yourself, locally, or online. With the Nintendo Switch, you can even separate the Joy-Con controllers for two-player action, depending on the Olympic game.
