Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Cross-Play Beta now available this weekend

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

Activision and Infinity Ward have released the beta for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare last weekend to PlayStation 4 players. The players had a chance to test out new maps and modes, including night vision mode. We had the chance to play the game, and we’ve been enjoying our time with it. Not everyone was enjoying their time though since there was an outcry about the initial exclusion of the minimap. Today is a big moment for all Call of Duty players since they’ll be able to play with each other via different platforms like the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Yes, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Cross-Play Beta is now available.

Weekend Two is live until Monday, September 23rd. Today marks the Early Access period from now until Friday, September 20th at 6 p.m. PST. The beta will then be open to everyone on Friday, September 20th at 6 p.m. PST until Monday, September 23rd at 10 a.m. PST.

Here’s a list of modes you’ll have access to in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Beta:

  • 6v6 Gun Runner
  • 6v6 Hackney Yard (Day)
  • 6v6 Azhir Cave (Day)
  • 10v10 Grazna Raid
  • Game Mode Filter: TDM (Team Deathmatch)
  • Game Mode Filter: 10v10 HQ (Headquarters)
  • Game Mode Filter: 10v10 Dom (Domination)
  • Featured Playlist: Cyber Attack
  • Featured Playlist: 2v2 Gunfight

The initial level cap was 10, but it has been increased to Level 20. The Game Mode Filter has been unlocked, so you can choose the mode you want to play.

After having played the beta, one of our favorite modes is Domination in the Grazna Raid map. The map has it all including tight corridors, different areas to flank, and a nice open area for sniping. The night vision mode is another fun one, and a highlight includes no indicator to let players know if an enemy is dead. There’s less on the HUD, making you feel more immersed in the map.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on October 25, 2019.
