New trailer for Terminator: Dark Fate gives more insight on story

Tim Miller, the director of Deadpool, is helming the latest Terminator flick, and James Cameron is on board as a producer. Terminator: Dark Fate acts as the direct sequel to Terminator 2: Judgement Day, and Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger are back as Sarah Connor and the T-800, respectively. Paramount Pictures has released a new trailer for the film, and it gives viewers a pretty good understanding of the story as well as the new villain.

Both Sarah Connor and the T-800 are now older, and they must work together to stop a new breed of Terminator, played by Gabriel Luna. They will have help from an augmented human soldier from the future played by Mackenzie Davis.

“I think Terminator fans will be happy,” Miller tells Observer. “I just tried to make the best film we could. As a fan, I know there are things people want to see and questions they’d like answered right now. But I’d never ruin that by telling details ahead of the movie. I just think they’ll be happy with it.”

The film is a joint venture between Paramount Pictures, Skydance, Twentieth Century Fox, Tencent Pictures and TSG Entertainment Finance LLC. It’s produced by James Cameron and Ellison, directed by Tim Miller, and written by David Goyer & Justin Rhodes and Billy Ray from a story by James Cameron, Charles Eglee, Josh Friedman, David Goyer, and Justin Rhodes.

The film stars Linda Hamilton, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna, and Diego Boneta.

Terminator: Dark Fate hits theaters on November 1, 2019.
