Minecraft gets a makeover thanks to NVIDIA’s real-time ray tracing

Minecraft’s graphics might not be the greatest, but that’s not the reason gamers play the sandbox and survival game. However, things are about to change. During Gamescom, NVIDIA has released a trailer showing off the GeForce RTX Ray Tracing for Minecraft, and it’s looking breathtaking. The popular PC game is getting a huge makeover thanks to the path tracing, a form of ray tracing for the Windows 10 version of the game.

Once the update is released, players will get to experience a world with dynamic lighting, vibrant colors, water with reflections while still building, creating and exploring like they’re used to. Check out the trailer below to see the difference.
