San Diego Comic-Con 2019 is now over, and it was filled with all kinds of fun activities, panels, and parties. There was plenty of excitement to be had, and some activities and parties do not require you to have a Comic-Con badge. I personally try to avoid the convention center as much as possible due to the big crowds, and I recommend trying out the different activations, as there were plenty of amazing ones. If you love to party during the biggest pop culture event of the year, then there were a lot of options available. However, you had to keep an eye out since tickets sell out fast. The parties and night events included Carnival Row: Come As You Are, Fandom, Team Coco’s Midnight @ Coco’s, Poppy concert, Ready Party One, Game of Thrones’ Kristian Nairn DJing at Omnia Nightclub, and more.

Amazon Prime Video had parties for The Expanse, The Boys, and Carnival Row. Amazon brought in hundreds of fans waiting in line to attend its parties. Guests who attended were treated with live shows, food and drinks. In addition, Amazon Prime Video also previewed episodes from The Boys and Carnival Row starring Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevigne before their premiere on the streaming service. Additionally, Karl Urban and The Boys cast and crew took to the stage to present the first two episodes from the show.

Fans also had the chance to attend the Fandom and Cirque du Soleil rooftop party at the Hard Rock Hotel’s Float. It was the debut of the upcoming live-action show, R.U.N, which will run in Las Vegas later this year and features motorcycle stunts, martial arts choreography, pyrotechnics and music by Tyler Bates. Celebrities, media and fans mingled in an action-packed party filled with food, drinks and music. Once the show was over, partygoers danced the night away with DJ Girl Talk supplying the music. Guests also had the chance to preview Johnnie Walker’s limited edition Game of Thrones-inspired whiskeys “A Song of Fire” and “A Song of Ice.”

If there’s one party that’s dedicated to fans, it’s the Xlevelent parties. The event is open to everyone, and it’s one of the few parties that lasts until 2 a.m. For three nights, Xlevelent, Nerdist, Crunchyroll, and Nerds Like Us give Comic-Con goers a night of dancing inside Fluxx Nightclub. Flux Capacitor, an ’80s cover band, performed all the classic hits including “Johnny B. Goode” from Chuck Berry. Friday night featured performances from DMC (one-half of Run DMC) and Dan Fogler.

Team Coco’s Midnight @ Coco’s

If you want something more relaxing, then there’s Team Coco Presents Midnight @ Coco’s. Although there was no open bar, guests were able to wind down and order drinks as the TV monitors looped content from Conan. This ran nightly during San Diego Comic-Con, and those who attended the event on Saturday night were treated with exclusive Conan Funko Pops. Yes, you can get them outside of watching Conan at Spreckels Theatre.

Overall, San Diego Comic-Con was the place to party as a nerd. From live stunts to fairies interacting with guests, partygoers were sure to have a blast.
