Thor has been one of the biggest surprises in the last three films he’s been in. Even Hemsworth himself said that Thor: Ragnarok revitalized his love for the character. Good news for Hemsworth, director Taika Waititi and Tessa Thompson are both coming for the next Thor film: Thor: Love and Thunder.

They didn’t come alone. Taika was asked if he took inspiration from Jason Aaron’s “The Mighty Thor” series. Taika said that he only had one person in mind to play Fem-Thor: Natalie Portman. Yes, Jane Foster will be wielding Mjolnir in the film.

For those unfamiliar with the Fem-Thor storyline, Jane Foster became diagnosed with breast cancer. After Thor becomes unworthy of wielding Mjolnir, the hammer calls out to Jane. Finally giving in to the magical calls of the hammer, she gains the powers of Thor and becomes the Goddess of Thunder.

Since we’re so far out from its release date, there are no other details than that. No villains or plotlines hints either. In fact, both Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth haven’t even read Taika’s script yet.

So what do you think?
