This Unicron will be the largest Transformers figure ever

The Transformers’ Unicron is the equivalent to Marvel’s Galactus. Featured in Transformers: The Movie, he’s a giant Transformer that needs to feed on planets to stay alive. (Let’s try to forget about his cameo in Michael Bay’s Transformers: The Last Knight.) Soon fans will have the chance to own the largest Transformers figure ever. Hasbro’s Haslab is back at it again after the success of last year’s crowdfunding campaign, and this version will be the Transformers: War for Cybertron Unicron. To make it a reality, Hasbro is starting a crowdfunding campaign with the goal to reach a minimum of 8,000 backers before August 31, 2019 at 11:59 PM EST.

Fortress Maximus was the largest Transformers figure, but with this version of Unicron, it will have that title. The figure is being worked on by artists and designers from Takara Tomy and Hasbro to give fans the most accurate Unicron to date. To imagine the size of the Unicron figure, here he is standing next to Optimus Prime War’s Cybertron: Siege Voyager figure.

Unicron’s robot mode will stand over 27″ tall with over 50 points of articulation, and he even has movable eyes, fingers, mouth, and teeth.

It’s not a Transformers figure if you can’t transform them, and collectors will be able to transform him into a giant planet that measures 30″ in diameter. The planet mode includes the deadly jaws used to devour planets and poseable planetary rings. A stand is included to show off Unicron in robot or planet mode.

*At the time of this writing on July 15th at 3:13 pm PST, the campaign already hasĀ 580 Backers. The deadline is the end of next month with the target being 8,000.
