Disney has been pumping out live-action versions of its animated films like clockwork, especially since these films have been making the studio a lot of money like Aladdin, The Jungle Book and Beauty and the Beast. Soon it will be releasing The Lion King, and that will for sure make a lot of money. The studio also announced Halle Bailey as Ariel for its upcoming live-action remake of The Little Mermaid. So what’s next? According to a report, there are talks at Disney to produce a live-action sequel to The Nightmare Before Christmas.

What’s this? What’s this? Could fans get to see the live-action debut of Jack Skellington? According to a source close to Moviehole, there have been talks about Disney doing a sequel to The Nightmare Before Christmas. Not only will this be a sequel, but it will also be live-action. The outlet says that the source has given credible tips in the past.

Of course, you should take this with a grain of salt until we hear an official announcement from Disney, but I wouldn’t put it past the company to do this. I mean, it even did a live-action remake of Pete’s Dragon. Does anybody even remember that?

The Nightmare Before Christmas became a classic with its memorable characters and songs. Disneyland even transforms The Haunted Mansion into The Nightmare Before Christmas during the Halloween season. If a sequel does indeed happen, Disney would be crazy to not bring back Danny Elfman to compose the songs. However, it would be disappointing to a lot of fans if the studio doesn’t try to bring back stop-motion animation. The animation technique has been embraced by Laika Studios, the studio behind Missing Link and Kubo and the Two Strings.
