American Horror Story: 1984 activation will be highlight for FX Fearless Forum at SDCC

American Horror Story: 1984

FX Networks has had some amazing activations at San Diego Comic-Con. One of our highlights was the Legion activation that made you feel like you were a mutant trying to break free from captivity. It was able to blend AR technology and immersive theater together to bring you into the action. This year, FX is returning at the Hilton Bayfront Park, and this time the spotlight will be on American Horror Story: 1984.

This marks the 9th installation of the series, and The American Horror Story: 1984 – Face the Darkness activation is an immersive journey featuring classic slasher horror tropes that’s augmented by night vision goggles. American Horror Story: 1984 will premiere on Wednesday, September 18, on FX.

Aside from American Horror Story: 1984, FX Fearless Forum will have themed activations for What We Do in the Shadows, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Archer and a nightly projection stunt from Bartkresa studio and FX Design. The projection mapped gallery display at night will be showing off the FX Network shows. The FX location is the same as in previous years, and it’s adjacent to the Convention Center.

Registration is coming soon, but check back at FXSDCC.com. Once registered, you’ll get the chance to get an RFID badge, which is required to gain entry into the activations.

Here are the hours for FX Fearless Forum:

  • Thursday July 17: 12pm – 6pm
  • Friday July 18: 10am – 6pm
  • Saturday July 19: 10am – 6pm
  • Sunday July 20: 10am – 2pm
