OMEN by HP dazzles at E3 with latest line of gaming gear

For the second time in a row, HP has partnered with ESPN to host the OMEN x ESPN event during this year’s E3. Omen by HP has been creating some powerful machines to fuel gamers needs. Inviting the press and social media influencers, HP gave them a hands-on look at the latest additions to its gaming lineup.

Last year NBA Hall of Famer Bill Walton greeted the attendees and gave them a look at the latest gaming studio at the ESPN offices. This year, taking over the reins of Bill Walton was wrestling superstar Kenny Omega. Kenny, who wrestles overseas in the New Japan Pro-Wrestling circuit, met with each group that participated in the event. He held a brief Q&A, took pictures with fans, and finished it all up with a few rounds of 1v1 in Street Fighter V.

One of the biggest systems that turned the most heads was the OMEN X 2S, a 15-inch laptop with a secondary 6-inch touch screen with 1080p resolution. The X 2S is pre-configured with an i7-processor, 16GB DDR4, 1TB SSD, Nvidia 8GB RTX2080, and a 144Hz IPS Panel. Along with the X 2S, OMEN showed off the OMEN 15 and 17 laptops, Photon Mouse, and Outpost Mousepad.

The Outpost Mousepad is designed with gamers in mind, as it adapts to their playstyle with dual anti-fray mat options. A soft mat will give you more precise control for lower DPI settings, while the hard mat provides smoother movements for higher DPI. The outpost is also built with a Qi wireless charging, which will allow you to charge the photon mouse and other Qi-enabled devices. Pair the outpost mousepad with the photon wireless mouse and you’ll set yourself up for fast, responsive precision to make you keep up on a competitive level.

Adding the icing on the cake, HP brought out their fully tricked-out Omen Obelisk which was paired with the X 25 display, sequencer keyboard, reactor mouse, and mousepad 300. This was to show off Omens ecosystem of products that will give gamers a line of products that are designed to optimally work together.
