It’s almost the official days of summer, and Activision and Treyarch have begun the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Days of Summer Community Event, which starts today. With the event, there are plenty of new updates including new maps, modes, and events including a 50 vs 50 battle royale mode and the new Multiplayer map, Grind. Check out the trailer for the event below.

The Grav assault rifle will be available in Multiplayer, and you can get it via the Grav Community Challenge spread across Multiplayer, Zombies and Blackout. PlayStation 4 users can now start the challenge, with Xbox One and PC users having the chance a week later.

Grind, the Call of Duty: Black Ops II map, has been added to Black Ops 4 Multiplayer, and it’s free for all players. The map is set in a Venice Beach skate park filled with the pro shop and halfpipe.

Multiplayer will also have a new game mode with Capture the Flag. It’s a classic mode, and it’s now available for Black Ops 4. Each team will need to defend their flag while trying to capture the enemy flag and bringing it back to their base.

What about Blackout, the battle royale mode? There will be new environmental changes thanks to the Hydro Dam being out of commission and the flood waters receding. Hijacked, the luxury boat is now near Nuketown Island’s cove, and the map is now filled with sunshine and party supplies like BBQs, lawn ornaments, party balloons, pool floaties. The beach is filled with camping equipment, umbrellas, and towels. There are also coolers around, with paint cans and character-unlock items. You can grab water balloons and attack people, dealing light damage. The zombies are even joining on the festivities, and they are fitted with duck floaties.

In addition, there’s a new Blackout game mode called Ground War. Two large teams (50 vs 50) will drop down into opposing platoons, and each is made up of different squads. You can revive anyone in your platoon, even if you’re the last one alive in your squad and downed. The first circle size takes up one-third of the main Blackout map to give players a faster and crazy mode as they deal with a lot of enemy players. The circle will reduce in size as usual, but you’re able to redeploy if your squad isn’t dead until the final circle. The last platoon¬†that survives is the winner.¬†You can also ride the Attack Helicopter, which is equipped with two turrets.

Blackout’s Alcatraz Map will have updates like two new destinations, Submarine and Shipwrecked. This will be available on June 11th for the PlayStation 4, with the other platforms getting it after.
