Keanu Reeves has another big year with films like John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and Netflix’s Always Be My Maybe. And now we have a report that he is in talks to join the cast of The Eternals from Marvel Studios. The upcoming film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been making headlines with news of a possible gay character and Angelina Jolie as one of the main characters.

Keanu Reeves is in negotiations with Marvel Studios, according to MCU Cosmic. If that’s the case, he’ll be joining Angelina Jolie, Kumail Nanjiana (HBO’s Silicon Valley) and Richard Madden (HBO’s Game of Thrones, Rocketman).

No news yet on who Reeves is going to play, and since it hasn’t been confirmed by Marvel Studios or Keanu Reeves, put this under the rumor file. As for the others, it’s reported that Jolie will be playing Sersi, with Madden as Ikaris.

The film was supposed to be filmed in Atlanta, but it will now be filmed in London with production beginning in September 2019.

“Everything after Endgame, and after Spider-Man: Far From Home, will be different and be unique, as we try to make every film,” Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige tells Collider. “But seeing returning characters is certainly something we’re gonna do and want to do. But also introducing characters that the majority of the world has never heard of, much like Guardians, much like Avengers before we made Avengers. And there are lots of them. Eternals are one group, but we like the idea of introducing an ensemble, doing an ensemble movie from the start, as opposed to building up as we did with the first Avengers. More like Guardians, not tonally, but in terms of introducing a new group of people. You were asking about ’60s, and ’70s before. Jack Kirby did an immense, amazing epic with Eternals that spans tens of thousands of years, and that’s also something we haven’t really done, which is why that among many other things post-Endgame, we find appealing.”

Marvel Studios is working on a solo Black Widow movie and a new MCU hero, Shang-Chi. Fans can also expect a sequel to Black Panther, Doctor Strange and Captain Marvel.
