Avengers: Endgame posters reveal who’s alive and who’s dead

Avengers: Endgame Character Posters all

Marvel Studios has been doing a wonderful job of creating hype for its upcoming Avengers: Endgame film. The trailers are brief and don’t have a lot of spoilers. So far we know the surviving characters are sad about the events of Avengers: Infinity War, and they’ll do whatever it takes to avenge the fallen. Yesterday, the studio released a bunch of new character posters for Avengers: Endgame, and it’s a lot. There are a total of 32 character posters, and if you put them all together, you’ll see a pattern. The posters with color feature characters who are still alive, and the black and white posters are characters that have died. Another pattern reveals that half the characters are gone. To quote Thanos, “Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.”

Okay, so let’s see who’s still alive:

  • Iron Man
  • Captain America
  • Black Widow
  • Thor
  • Bruce Banner
  • Hawkeye
  • Captain Marvel
  • Ant-Man
  • Nebula
  • Okoye
  • War Machine
  • Pepper Potts
  • Rocket Racoon
  • Valkyrie
  • Wong
  • Happy Hogan

And here’s the list of fallen characters:

  • Black Panther
  • Star-Lord
  • Gamora
  • Doctor Strange
  • Spider-Man
  • Scarlet Witch
  • Vision
  • Nick Fury
  • Loki
  • Shuri
  • Groot
  • Wasp
  • Falcon
  • Bucky
  • Mantis
  • Can’t seem to make out the last one since it’s blank…

Some were wondering about the fate of Valkyrie since we really didn’t see her when Thanos attacked the Asgardian ship. With the poster confirming her status, could she reunite with Thor as he travels into another realm? And as for Pepper Potts and Happy Hogan, will they have some role to play in helping out the Avengers go up against Thanos? We’ll find out once the movie is out.

Official Synopsis: The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”

The film is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo from the screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely.

Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26, 2019.
