In the last year or so, Adidas has collaborated with Dragon Ball Z, Beavis & Butt-Head, and Game of Thrones to give the sneaker culture a series of limited edition shoes. Each has been commemorating these pop culture icons in their very own way, and Adidas continues to dip its hand into the pop culture phenomenon again by possibly releasing a collaboration with Pokemon.

At the moment, Adidas has yet to release an official statement announcing the collaboration, but thanks to Instagram user @hugokickz, a post has shown a pair of shoes that gives us a sneak peek at what this possible collab will entail. Pokemon debuted on TV in the mid-’90s, and since then has cultivated in numerous animated series, video games, and an upcoming live-action movie.

This possible collaboration will be using the Adidas campus model for its silhouette. The low-top shoe will be dressed in all-white leather and will feature two of Pokemon’s favorite characters, Pikachu and Squirtle. These two characters will be printed entirely on the uppers of the shoe, which will meld itself to the Adidas three stripes branding. To give the shoes an added flair, both Pikachu and Squirtle will each be embroidered onto one side of the shoe. Rounding out the design will be a co-branded tongue featuring both the Adidas and Pokemon logo.

With this leaked possible collaboration with Pokemon, Adidas continues to show that it has a strong grasp on pop culture, creating shoes that footwear enthusiasts of all ages can enjoy. With Detective Pikachu slated to hit theaters in the next coming months, Adidas can possibly make an official announcement in conjunction with the release of the movie.
