Director Uwe Boll says Harley Quinn ‘is not a real Batman character’
Remember Uwe Boll? Yeah, the director behind such “classic” video game movies like BloodRayne, Alone in the Dark and House of the Dead? Well, he has a bone to pick with Harley Quinn, one of the most popular DC villains who was featured in the Injustice video game franchise and the live-action Suicide Squad film. Well, according to Boll, since she first appeared in Batman: The Animated Series, apparently she’s not considered a real Batman character.
He posted on his Twitter account about how he thinks Harley Quinn is really stupid.
“Harley Quinn began from ****ing FOX KIDS Batman The Animated Series and is ****ing stupid. She’s not a REAL Batman character as far as I am concerned.”
Harley Quinn began from fucking FOX KIDS Batman The Animated Series and is fucking stupid. She's not a REAL Batman character as far as I am concerned.

Of course, the internet answered back, including notable voice actors from the DC animated films and Batman Arkham series. Tara Strong did the voice for Harley Quinn in many of the DC original animated films and video games like Injustice and Batman: Arkham Knight. She responded with a photo of herself cosplaying as the DC villain looking displeased.

And then we have Troy Baker, who did the voice of the Joker in Batman: Arkham Origins and Batman in the Batman: The Telltale Series. He lets Boll know that his opinion makes him an asshole.
Well, you know what they say about opinions and assholes…
Your opinion makes you an asshole. https://t.co/tjfR6QANXl

Whether you agree with Uwe Boll or not, Harley Quinn isn’t going anywhere. Moviegoers will be able to see her return on the big screen in Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) when it hits theaters on February 7, 2020. Margot Robbie is reprising her role as the crazy DC villain, and she’ll be joined by Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Dinah Lance / Black Canary, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Helena Bertinelli / Huntress, Ewan McGregor as Black Mask, Chris Messina as Victor Zsasz, and Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya.
