We get rickrolled in new Ralph Breaks the Internet trailer

Ralph Breaks the Internet 2

Disney is on a roll this week with new trailers for Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel and Mary Poppins Returns. Next up is a new trailer for Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2. In this one, we finally get to see what the story is all about.

Vanellope von Schweetz’s arcade machine, Sugar Rush, is broken, and now she’s feeling lost. However, Ralph is there to cheer her up, and together, they decide to go on an adventure into the Internet to help fix her arcade machine. Of course, they’ll encounter a lot of “pop-up ads” and seedy parts of the Internet. And yes, Rick Astley will be rickrolling the viewers.

It looks like Ralph and Vanellope’s friendship will be put to the test, thanks to newcomer Shank, who is a game character in the online racing game called Slaughter Race.

Synopsis: In “Ralph Breaks the Internet,” video-game bad guy Ralph and best friend Vanellope von Schweetz leave the comforts of Litwak’s arcade in an attempt to save her game, Sugar Rush. Their quest takes them to the vast, uncharted world of the internet where they rely on the citizens of the internet—the Netizens—to help navigate their way. Lending a virtual hand are Yesss, the head algorithm and the heart and soul of the trend-making site “BuzzzTube,” and Shank, a tough-as-nails driver from a gritty online auto-racing game called Slaughter Race, a place Vanellope wholeheartedly embraces—so much so that Ralph worries he may lose the only friend he’s ever had.

John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman return to voice Ralph and Vanellope, respectively. Other returning voice actors include Jack McBrayer as Felix, Jane Lynch as Calhoun and Alan Tudyk. They are joined by Gal Gadot as Shank, Taraji P. Henson as Yesss, and Ali Wong as Felony.

Rich Moore has returned to direct the sequel, and he is joined by Phil Johnston. Johnston and Pamela Ribon have written the screenplay.

Ralph Breaks the Internet hits theaters on November 21, 2018.
