Electronauts VR game will turn anyone into the ultimate DJ

Electronauts

Survios made players feel like an action hero with its VR game, Raw Data. It also made players feel like a parkour practitioner with Sprint Vector. Soon, players will get to become the coolest DJ in the galaxy with Electronauts. The groovy and psychedelic game will transport you into outer space as an Electronaut, where you get to compose, remix and perform as a DJ inside a spaceship. Your mission? To get people dancing.

With the HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR and their respective motion controllers, you will have complete control over your surroundings. The game features cubes, orbs and grenades that create different sounds and melodies. The orbs are instruments with its own set of tunes, and the cubes include vocal tracks, effects, visualizations, and more. Electronauts’ Music Reality Engine allows music lovers to really become great at producing and performing music. With quantization, you’ll always be on key and never be offbeat. It’s so easy that even a drunk person can sound amazing.

The tracks cube will help you control the flow of the music, and they range from Intro to Build to Drop. Yes, you can build up the song and then drop the beat to get the crowd pumping, that’s if you have audiences watching you. You can also mute and unmute the different instruments from the tracks to set the mood. The vocal cube contains verses, and a cool thing to do is to make the singer sing a word over and over again by repeatedly tapping that section. The most fun part of the whole game is playing with the orbs. These orbs act as different instruments, and whatever you do, you’ll always be on key and on beat. You can flap your hands around the orbs like a kid who first discovered a drum set, and you’ll still sound impressive.

With the game being in VR, you are fully immersed in creating music, and those who have never created music will feel right at home. The game is super fun and intuitive, and once you get the hang of recording loops and using orbs, loopers, and other items, you’ll be rocking it like Steve Aoki. The next time there is a party, set up Electronauts and start performing.
