The Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Multiplayer Beta is almost upon us, and to get fans hyped, Activision and Treyarch have released a new trailer. Yes, we’re getting a trailer for the beta. During the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Reveal Event, the game’s battle royale mode (Blackout) was announced, but no gameplay was shown… until now. If you stick around near the end of the Multiplayer Beta trailer, you’ll get a taste of the action.

Those who have pre-ordered the PlayStation 4 version will get to play the private multiplayer beta a week earlier. It will start on August 3rd, 10am PT until August 6th, 10am PT. The second weekend will allow both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners who pre-ordered the game to play. (10am PT Friday, August 10 until 10am PT on Monday, August 13.)

The Blackout beta will be coming in September.

Fans of the single player mode will be disappointed since there won’t be a single-player campaign. Treyarch is focused on the online modes including the standard multiplayer mode, battle royale mode, and the zombie modes. The studio has also ditched the double jumps and wall running for a more boots-on-ground feel for the first-person futuristic military shooter.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be available on October 12, 2018.
