Lydia Hearst replies to Kathy Griffin after Chris Hardwick’s return to AMC

In light of news that Chris Hardwick will be returning to The Talking Dead, Kathy Griffin sent out a tweet saying “F*** this!!!” in regards to the news of his return. But Lydia Hearst, who is married to Chris Hardwick, replied back saying, “There is a reason for due process. Also, this has nothing to do with you. The truth prevailed. Chris is innocent and a good man. Try looking at facts and spreading love, compassion, and understanding. If you can’t, then go project your upset and nasty comments somewhere else.”

This comes after AMC released a statement saying, “Following a comprehensive assessment by AMC, working with Ivy Kagan Bierman of the firm Loeb & Loeb, who has considerable experience in this area, Chris Hardwick will return to AMC as the host of Talking Dead and Talking With Chris Hardwick,” AMC said in a statement. “We take these matters very seriously, and given the information available to us after a very careful review, including interviews with numerous individuals, we believe returning Chris to work is the appropriate step.”

Although AMC found no evidence supporting Chloe Dykstra’s claims of sexual assault against her former boyfriend Chris Hardwick, people are still supporting her with the #believewomen while support for Hardwick continues with #ISupportChrisHardwick. People of all genders continue to be divided by this controversy, and some are worried that Yvette Nicole Brown will be sidelined from The Talking Dead. It has been confirmed though that she will still host the preview special as well as co-hosting the season premiere and continuing to be a guest of the show.
