Dark Horse comics gets Stranger Things license

Dark Horse Comics is teaming up with Netflix to bring the phenomenon Stranger Things to the comic pages. It will be released in September and will be a multi-series run that will coincide with the show. Stranger Things has been a hit for Netflix with its mix of ’80s nostalgia, great cast, and awesome story.

President of Dark Horse Mike Richardson said in a statement:

“Dark Horse is known for championing stories and storytellers. We are so excited to work with Netflix to bring the world of Stranger Things to comics.”

According to Dark Horse, it is a multi-year publishing line that will explore the mysterious town of Hawkins, Indiana. The first series will cover of Will Byers from when he was stuck in the other dimension Upside Down during the first season. We get to see what happened to Will during the season while they were searching.

The first series is a four part mini-series written by Jody Houser, illustrated by Stefano Martino, inked by Keith Champagne, colored by Lauren Affe, and lettered by Nate Piekos. The first issue is set to go on sale on September 26th. The covers will be done by Aleksi Briclot, Rafael Albuquerque, and Kyle Lambert. Check them out below.
