Assassin’s Creed Odyssey details revealed during E3 2018
It looks like we’ll have to wait for that Assassin’s Creed Japan just a bit longer. The next installment was leaked, and eventually soon after it was made official by the Ubisoft. The next game looks and feels like a combination of two previous Assassin’s Creed games and another game from another company: Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, Assassin’s Creed: Origins, and Mass Effect.
From the gameplay walkthrough video, it made it sound like you will be going on an adventure on the seas while going from port to port to reunite with family and fight those that tore it apart. And from the picture below, you can see that they are using the Assassin’s Creed: Origins format of upgrade systems. But they are also introducing a big change, and that is an RPG-type choice of gameplay much like Mass Effect games.
Another similarity from Mass Effect is the choice of choosing a gender for the protagonist: male or female, which I think is cool. I am a little wary of the change of style in gameplay to an RPG style. However, I felt the same way with the change in AC: Origins and that game turned out to be really fun. I will put my trust to the developers for now and hope for the best.
Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey will be available on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC on October 5th. Check out the trailer and gameplay walkthrough videos below. Are you excited for this new game? Will you be doing the “THIS IS SPARTAAAAA!!” kick? Let us know. And stay tuned to Nerd Reactor for more E3 news.
