E3 2018: Forza Horizon 4 is racing bliss

Playground Games have been giving racing fans some of the best racing titles in the Forza Horizon series for quite some time now. At this year’s E3 Xbox Media Briefing, Microsoft unveiled the next iteration in the series, Forza Horizon 4. Perhaps the biggest change to the newest game is the location, which now takes place in Great Britain. You’ll be tearing up the UK countryside in some of the world’s hottest vehicles available.

Even though a new locale is big, there was something else that stood out. Instead of the normal dynamic weather that can be found in most racing games nowadays, Playground decided to take it one step further and create the first ever dynamic seasons. This means the game will progress through all four seasons, along with the entire environment changing with it. For example, a normal lake that’s unable to be crossed in the summer can be frozen over in the winter, giving access to new areas.

This definitely adds a new element of gameplay into the mix. Combine that and over 450 vehicles to choose from at the start (the largest car roster to date in a Horizon game), and it seems like we have the makings of quite possibly the best Horizon game yet. Not to mention that if you have Xbox Game Pass, the game will be available as it releases worldwide. Check out the trailer for yourself below.
