Christmas comes early with the release of official ‘Halloween’ trailer

Halloween - Poster #1

“You don’t believe in the boogeyman? You should…”

Seriously, how many of us had the thought that this film was going to look horrible? Not many horror fans were impressed with the more recent entries in the Halloween saga, or even the recent hard reboot by Director Rob Zombie. Much like everyone else, I thought it was high time to hang up the mask, and give Michael Myers a break from chasing people. Then, we received word that one more film was in the works. Cue the collective sigh.

Then news started pouring in about who was going to be on board with the project. First we find out that David Gordon Green is on to direct, which isn’t a bad way to start things off. Then we find that the man behind the mask, John Carpenter, is set to be a part of the process! To add the final touch to this horrifically fantastic piece, the one and only scream queen herself, Jamie Lee Curtis, had confirmed that she will reprise her role as Laurie Strode! Every piece was in the right position, and every move poised ready to strike, but would the film itself look right? Well, the answer to that is a resounding and booming YES!

This morning, the trailer dropped for the ever impressive and always intriguing continuation of the original Halloween franchise, and Horror fans are gleaming from ear to ear! The film, also titled Halloween, is set to be a continuation of the Laurie Strode storyline, as we find that Laurie has been training all her life for the moment when Michael Myers would return. Everyone else thought she was crazy, but she knew it was going to happen, and when it finally does, she’s locked, loaded and ready to fight.

Check out the trailer below! Halloween, starring Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, and the man behind the original 1978 mask, Nick Castle, is set to hit theaters October 19!
