‘Suspiria’ teaser brings the chills that we all remember

There are several films in this world that many movie buffs will defend to the death that they should never be remade. Some of those include 1941’s Citizen Kane, 1972’s The Godfather, and even 1994’s Pulp Fiction. Horror fans carry the same kind of fandom. You just can’t recreate the same dread and fear from powerful films such as 1968’s Night of the Living Dead, 1973’s The Exorcist, and, of course, Dario Argento’s 1977 Italian horror classic, Suspiria. With that said…here’s the teaser trailer to the reboot of Argento’s 1977 Italian horror classic, Suspiria!

Directed by Italian filmmaker Luca Guadagnino, 2018’s Suspiria revisits the tale crafted by Dario Argento. A darkness swirls at the center of a world-renowned dance company, one that will engulf the troupe’s artistic director (Tilda Swinton), an ambitious young dancer (Dakota Johnson), and a grieving psychotherapist (Lutz Ebersdorf). Some will succumb to the nightmare. Others will finally wake up.

The teaser looks as though the film was created during the 1970’s, much like it’s predecessor. With a stylized look and a familiar looming dread that emanates from the teaser, the feelings are hopeful that the film may stay true to the source material. Here’s to hoping!

Suspiria is set to release in theaters November 2nd of this year. Check out the teaser below!
