New AVerMedia 4K Capture Cards on the horizon
AVerMedia has been creating capture cards for many years now. If you are not familiar with the Live Gamer line, I recommend that you take a moment to look up some of their previous products, as they are known to be of high quality. Each year, AVerMedia looks for better ways for their consumers to become embedded in their ecosystem. Now they are looking to create even more affordable, high-quality options for the community.
“The goal of our Live Gamer 4K UHD line of capture cards is to give streamers a strong range of 4K options to stream, record and share spectacular gameplay visuals and audio. Game streamers are the new rock stars, and AVerMedia caters to today’s celebrities while also providing aspiring and upcoming influencers with affordable, high-quality tools as they prepare for a bright future.” – David Kao, Marketing Director of AVerMedia
By now, most people that are in the market for a new capture card are looking for a 4K HDR card. The release of the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro are both helping the push for better capture cards, as many people have already adopted these newer consoles. That’s great news for those who are not in the market for a slick 4K HDR capture card. It just means that you will likely find better prices and sales.
I have all the specs that were sent to me at the end of the article for those looking. The announcement of the Live Gamer 4K and Live Gamer ULTRA came at Computex 2018 where tons of people were able to get a closer look. The Live Gamer 4K UHD cards will provide a powerful internal option, whereas the Live Gamer ULTRA and EXTREME 2 will provide self-sufficient external options. The LG ULTRA is the larger, more powerful option.
You can already pick up the Live Gamer EXTREME 2 today, but the Live Gamer 4K and ULTRA will be available beginning June 25, 2018. I would highly recommend taking a closer look at these new cards. My experience in the past is that the AVerMedia cards hold a slight edge on the Elgato cards I’ve used. I also want to mention that all cards come with AVerMedia’s proprietary RECentral software that supports simultaneous streaming to Twitch, YouTube and Mixer from a single app, as well as CyberLink’s PowerDirector 15 4K video editing software. If you are looking for additional specs, tweet at us and we;ll see what we can find. Thanks for all your support!
