Walmart Canada leak lists Splinter Cell, Borderlands 3, Gears of War 5, Just Cause 4

Splinter Cell

Oh yes, it’s time for a big online retailer to accidentally spill the beans on unannounced games again, and this time it’s coming from Walmart Canada. With E3 2018 on the horizon, video game publishers tend to keep retailers in the loop about upcoming games so that they can prepare themselves with placeholders. Well, Walmart Canada can’t seem to contain itself and has listed some games like Splinter Cell, Borderlands 3, Just Cause 4, Rage 2, a new Assassin’s Creed game and Gears of War 5. It was discovered by Twitter user Wario64, who is known to post daily deals.

The games are still listed (at the time of this writing) at the Walmart Canada site. However, it’s still a rumor, so it’s up to you to believe whether these are real or not.

With Sam Fisher making an appearance in the new Ghost Recon: Wildlands DLC, a new Splinter Cell game is highly possible.

One interesting game that’s listed is Forza Horizons 5. Did they skip part 4? (The last game in the series was Forza Horizon 3, and the series is known as Forza Horizon without the “s”.)

The yet-to-be-announced games are clumped with other games like Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Metroid Prime 4, Beyond Good and Evil 2, Insurgency Sandstorm, The Division 2 and The Last of Us 2.

Assassin’s Creed isn’t too shocking since Ubisoft has been known to release a new game every year. However, there was a gap in 2016, and with Assassin’s Creed Origins being released in 2017 to stellar reviews and sales. I do suggest that Ubisoft should skip a year so that they can focus on delivering a great product.

But with E3 coming next month, it’s possible that these are the games gamers can get hyped up for. Or maybe a Walmart employee accidentally pressed the publish button or decided to create their own upcoming wishlist. So yeah, take all of these with a grain of salt.
