Kung Fu Panda: The Emperor’s Quest opens June 15 at Universal Studios Hollywood

Mark your calendar for June 15th, because Kung Fu Panda and friends are invading Universal Studios Hollywood at the all-new DreakWorks Theatre. DreamWorks Animation and Universal Creative’s “Kung Fu Panda: The Emperor’s Quest” will take you on an animated journey filled with an immersive 180-degree experience.

Synopsis: Kung Fu Panda: The Emperor’s Quest is a plot filled story whereby on the morning of The Emperor’s Great Feast of Heroes, dragon warrior Po embarks on a wild and perilous mission to deliver the rare and precious Liquid of Limitless Power to the Palace, while enlisting guests to join him on the exciting adventure filled with raging rapids, river pirates, awesome magic and Kung Fu.

The 180-degree image will be projected using seven Christie 4K Boxer Cinema Projectors, with 360-degree surround sound audio and physical effects like water and wind to complement the adventure. In addition, the seats will move to the action of what you’re seeing.

The DreamWorks Theatre is located inside a newly built structure inspired by Mission revival architecture reminiscent of the Golden Age of Hollywood’s Art Deco period of the 1920s.
