Directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein join The Flash’s Flashpoint

The Flash

After Rick Famuyima left The Flash, Warner Bros have taken their time in finding a replacement. Recently rumors have spread that the writing and directing pair, John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, would be directing Flashpoint. The pair have worked together before as both co-writers and co-directors on such films as Spider-Man: Homecoming, Horrible Bosses, and most recently Game Night. But a recent report by Collider states that the deal has been closed, and the pair will indeed write the film.

This was also confirmed by John Francis Daley with his tweet:

During 2017’s Comic-Con panel, Warner Bros. announced the title of The Flash film as Flashpoint. Flashpoint is one of the most popular Flash arcs that has been retold on The Flash TV series as well as in the DC animated film, Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox. You can check out the animated film to learn a little more about the story line, or pick up the comics to read the source material. While it is expected that the pair will stick with the Flashpoint storyline, we will have to wait for official confirmation on that in the future.

Flashpoint synopsis: The super-fast hero the Flash travels into a timeline where Earth is a mess and its heroes are lost and scattered. It’s up to him to make things right.
