‘Halloween’ finally kicks off filming with the release of a set photo

It looks like Halloween is coming early this year!

How awesome is it to hear all the great films coming out this year? And I’m not just talking about the mainstream films, such as everything coming out of Marvel. We have some incredible movies debuting this year like Ready Player One, the fourth film in the Cloverfield series, and, of course, the incredible continuation of the killing spree of Michael Myers in the classic film, Halloween!

Filming has finally gone underway for the latest in the film franchise that began almost 40 years ago! Danny McBride and filmmaker David Gordon Green team up again, with McBride and Green writing the screenplay and Green directing. The pair are breathing new life into original film franchise (not counting Rob Zombie’s reboots) that has lied dormant since 2002 with Halloween Resurrection.

The project has gained popularity for bringing Jamie Lee Curtis back to reprise her role as Laurie Strode, alongside actress Judy Greer, who will portray her daughter in the film. The film has yet to release any information, but it has been presumed that Laurie’s granddaughter will become another potential victim for Michael Myers.

Earlier this morning on Twitter, Jamie Lee Curtis posted an awesome photo from the set, standing alongside Green, announcing that the first day of shooting has begun! Take a look:

What do you think of the film franchise being continued? Are you a fan of the series? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
